Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Deepen is a personal CRM designed to help you deepen your human relationships. You write diary-style entries about your life, and our AI parses contacts, places, activities, and relationships into a searchable database. The goal is to help you never forget what matters about the people in your life.

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide a valid email address and create a password meeting our minimum requirements (at least 8 characters, including a number and a special character). You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Deepen only for its intended purpose: managing your personal relationships and contacts. You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Abuse the AI processing capabilities (e.g., submitting entries solely to extract data from the AI model)
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
• Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the service

4. AI Processing

Your entries are processed by AI services (Anthropic Claude for text parsing, OpenAI Whisper for voice transcription) to extract structured data. AI-parsed entities with high confidence are automatically added to your contact database; lower-confidence results are queued for your review. You can always edit, undo, or re-parse any AI-generated data.

AI processing is not perfect. We do not guarantee the accuracy of parsed contacts, relationships, or other extracted information. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting AI-generated data.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Deepen offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access to paid features will continue until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

6. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create in Deepen, including entries, contacts, and any other personal data. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Deepen service.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the account settings. When you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed, including entries, contacts, interactions, locations, and any uploaded files. This action is irreversible. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after deletion.

8. Service Changes & Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

9. Limitation of Liability

Deepen is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business, or inaccurate AI-parsed information.
